Knowledge - Courage - Destination
The background research about the Hmong writer I chose was interesting to work with and fun to learn. I started by reading her bibliography and I got petrified by her life story. Then, I realized that most of the immigrants that struggle to come to The United States know how difficult and hard life is. Most of the immigrants accomplish their goals because of that reason, and instill values to future generations. This assignment helped me to have in mind that bad things can help you succeed. First, a person needs to know the reality of their lives. Second, a person needs to accept and have the courage to do something about it in case something is wrong. Finally, the person will find the right path of success. Those are the themes of literature I encounter with while reading Hmong writings.
